Q1 ’14:   Media Sales in a Cross Platform World

This course is a media sales course that focuses mainly on spot television.  We do cover the basics on network TV sales and we have guest speakers on promotions, digital media, mobile and social.    The course has several real-world, role-playing opportunities for each student and is an invaluable part of a young sellers media training.

This course if offered only one time per year in Q1 each year.  All courses are held at the UCLA Extension building in Westwood Village.

Q4’ 14:   Current Practices in Spot TV Buying  

This course is designed for young media professionals interested in the spot television industry.  Whether one comes from the agency or station side of the business, this course gives you all the fundamentals and basics knowledge that assistants, young sellers or junior buyers need to know.    Each student learns how to read the rating books by hand, pull estimates by hand and each student makes 5 media buys as a part of their grade.

This course if offered once every other year in Q4.  All courses are held at the UCLA Extension building in Westwood Village.
